Monday February 28th 2011 ~ Pot Pourri

There was a bit of everything today. 37573 on the 08.05 from Peterborough was 10 late into Wisbech, but after this things settled down until an incident in the mid afternoon. The delays affected Guyhirn to Wisbech and made 37577 on the 14.05 ex Peterborough 24 late passing me. Things eastbound were still in disarray at teatime with Bruce seeing two B9s following each other at Walpole at 17.39, believed to be 37576 on K19 33  late and K1 with 37565 3 late.
B7 37158 had a funny day, it was on L8 to begin with, but it was replaced at King's Lynn for the 12.02 to Lowestoft by 'The Beast', its wipers now functioning again. Later though 37563 had to be taken off Y6 and 37158 was called to work it forward as the 20.35 King's Lynn - Lowestoft. At the other end, 37572 on Y7 was swapped at Lowestoft for 37567 - why ? I've no idea, particularly as 572 was wanted at Lynn for servicing. It was seen by Michael B on the 007 schools contract this afternoon.
20115 put in another day on the X1 working Y9 throughout the day, but as Mr. Speed points out, this meant that the 12.02 & 12.32 Lynn to Lowestoft / 15.25 & 15.55 ex Lowestoft were consecutive services with coaches, which is a bit inconvenient for the disabled.
The 'Beast' is seen (left) this evening.
