Monday 6th September 2010 ~ Saved By The Beast

Something not quite Wright here !! Photo by Des

A thoroughly ordinary day today - well it has to happen occasionally, even on the X1 ! 20107 saved the day and prevented lowfloordom boredom. It did Y13 and was dead on time this evening departing Wisbech at 22.22 on the last turn to Peterborough. It departed via Churchill Road proving that some drivers still use this route.
Y7 had 37156 this morning, swapped at Lowestoft for 37159. 37158 & 37563 were on exams today at Lynn and Lowestoft respectively.

Though we all think affectionately about 20107, it is very awkward for passengers. Passengers that are expecting easy access are faced with a mountain of steep steps! On Friday I encountered many passengers with luggage, 2 unfolded baby buggies and a tricycle walking frame! When a coach is allocated to X1 duties, is any concern given to the amount of passengers that we inconvenience? NO!!
Come on First, publicly declare the X1 route a low floor, passenger friendly route!!! Putting coaches on this route should be an unacceptable practice.
